2. Toxic exhaust gas

There should be a suitable exhaust system in place to ensure that the engine's exhaust gases are discharged outdoors, and the exhaust system should be regularly checked for leaks. When there is exhaust gas in the diesel generator room, doors and windows should be opened first to discharge the exhaust gas before entering the house, to prevent carbon monoxide in the exhaust gas from poisoning people.

Do not use the generator set in areas with explosive hazards. Being close to a running diesel generator is very dangerous. Loose clothing, hair, and falling tools can cause serious accidents to individuals and equipment. When operating diesel generators, some exposed pipelines and components are in a high temperature state, it is necessary to prevent touch burns.

4. Fire prevention

Metal objects can cause short circuits in electrical wires, which can pose a fire hazard. The engine of a diesel generator should be kept clean. Excessive oil pollution may cause damage and fire to the engine body due to overheating. Several dry powder or carbon dioxide gas fire extinguishers should be placed in a convenient location inside the diesel generator room.

5. Safe use of lead-acid batteries

The dilute sulfuric acid electrolyte of lead-acid batteries is toxic and corrosive, and contact with the skin can cause burns. It should be immediately rinsed with clean water.

If it splashes into the eyes, immediately rinse with plenty of clean water and seek medical treatment. Batteries may release explosive gases during use, ensuring good indoor ventilation and prohibiting open flames from approaching.

6. Start Security

In extremely cold environments, starting a diesel generator set requires a preheating device. Do not use open flames to bake the body. It is best to maintain the electrolyte temperature of the battery at 10 ℃ or above in order to provide sufficient electricity to the battery
